Alaina Coleman Benefit July 26, 2008

The Alaina Coleman Benefit was a huge success. I just want to say thank you to all of the AAMA members that made it as well as CMA. It was really good to see everyone there supporting this little girl. There were 74 bikes for the ride which raised $1650 and then later in the evening more donations for the biker items that were donated put the total from the bikers around $2000. In total the benefit raised around $12,500.

> Unfortunately Topper had to work so we weren't able to ride but God took care of me as usual. Lou Ann Kidd was a bit under the weather so she wasn't able to ride either and had already planned to bring up the tail in her car. I was fortunate to get to ride with her and make some pictures. The pictures can't explain the joy we both had riding behind that brigade and knowing the reason that brought everyone together. Thanks Lou Ann for putting up with me.

> We had a half way stop at the Pooleville Store to stretch our legs and fellowship. I was fortunate to meet some new people and although it was extremely hot it was well worth it. I had hoped someone alerted the store of our plans but I'm guessing the poor little guy running the register needed a break after we all left. I need to also say a great thanks to the New Albany Police Dept. for their support in stopping traffic at the intersections so we would be safe. Having that support is awesome and they did a great job.
